The Percept Language is a way of translating how we speak about our perceptions of our inner and outer world and other people in order to bring ourselves into a "percept orientation" toward ourselves, our perceptions, our behavior, our motivations and actions. Speaking in the percept language shifts our orientation toward the world from object to subject. The process of speaking in this way develops self-awareness and accountability as we take ownership of our own experiences, actions and perceptions. It reduces the projection of judgements and criticism onto others. It is an extremely useful tool in personal growth and self-differentiation and therefore in our understanding about how we are choosing to live our lives with respect to our physical, mental and spiritual health.
I use the tool of the percept language in my work when there is a need for greater accountability in one's approach to their health and their relationships and as a tool in sorting out difficult and stressful issues that arise in life.
